Nowadays’ woman’s/mother’s subjective role: Today’s child beauty contests in North America is a work which seek to make inferences from the psychoanalysis of Lacanian Orientation on the subjective position of the mothers who enroll their daughters in such contests of infantile beauty and the epochal coordinates that favor this kind of phenomena. These contests are frequent in the United States and they generate diverse factors of analyses that allow its collision from different points of view (political, sociological, economic, and so on). The special feature of the phenomenon of study lies in the ways in which these mothers have their daughters in order to achieve the desired results. To win the contests they exert on the girls varied and different interventions; namely, from the eyebrows hair-removal, until Botox injections to achieve enhance areas of the face and thus to obtain the important awards that are in game. This fact is, probably, the one that leads to the investigation since it is from this type of links where it is given to think about the factors that mother - daughter allow without limits of the tie and it pushes the questioning about the consequences of this relationship. But it is not only mother-daughter relationship, in addition to this, we must identify what are the coordinates that allow, from the time, a link that appears as deregulated, permitted and even socially promoted. These are the factors of analyses to which one intends to add light, looking forward to provide a contribution and a different reading of a phenomenon that causes commotion the society. Today, child beauty pageants are likely to be indicators of a further escalation of maternal fad and ineffectiveness of the paternal law against the desire of the Other. Desire of the Other that is today represented by a single master, impersonal and not dialectical, unpredictable and changeable as it is the market itself, and only invites to enjoy. |
